Jim graduated from UBC with a bachelor of commerce in finance. He articled for his chartered accounting degree with an international firm of C.A.’s and then left public practice to work for a major Canadian airline where he held several different positions. In 1987, Jim left the airline industry to become founder of Bumstead Financial Services.

Since 1987, Jim has built a successful independent brokerage firm, which specializes in meeting all the client’s financial needs and risk assessment. “We want to increase client’s wealth while reducing or minimizing the risk to them and their families. Wealth Creation and Estate Preservation are areas that are of paramount importance to them.”
